Photos: LG Watch Phone
The LG Watch Phone is one of the first marvels we've seen here at CES. It has a touch-screen user interface, stereo Bluetooth, a speakerphone, a built-in music player, and a not-at-all-unattractive design, with tempered glass and metal casing. Here are the first few shots of the LG GD910 Watch Phone.
Calling Dick Tracy
The LG Watch Phone is 0.55 inch thick, with a screen that measures 1.43 inches diagonally. The surface is tempered glass, and the casing is metal. The strap is available in both leather and carbon fiber. Though small, it seems surprisingly usable.
Tiny phone; many features
The LG Watch Phone even has a built-in music player, thus making it possibly one of the first MP3 player watches around. It also has stereo Bluetooth, which makes listening to the music easier.
Talk to the phone
The LG Watch Phone has quite a number of features for such a small device. It has a touch-screen user interface along with three side buttons, a music player, stereo Bluetooth, a speakerphone, 3G/HSDPA, quad-band GSM, and more. It's also water resistant.
Touch screen
There is no need for a stylus with the LG Watch Phone. Just tap away at the 1.43-inch touch screen, as seen here. Texting can also be done via a T9 keypad.
Three side buttons
The LG Watch Phone has three side buttons, which are the Talk, Clear, and End buttons, respectively.
Runs like clockwork
The LG Watch Phone will be available later this year for European markets only. It may come to the U.S. later, but there's no confirmation on that front. However, it does have quad-band GSM, and the 3G/HSDPA frequency is compatible with AT&T's, so it's possible it'll work Stateside as well.
Color watches
The LG Watch Phone will be available in a whole slew of colors, as seen here. The strap can be either leather or carbon fiber.
Shiny watch phone
The LG Watch Phone is easy to wear, with an adjustable strap that can fit small or large wrists.
Talk to the phone
Other cool features of the LG Watch Phone include voice recognition, and a text-to-speech feature that reads out text messages to you.
