Photos: Koss headphones for 2007
Koss represented at SXSW 2007. Though the booth didn't have any new headphones on display, we gathered photos of all the new models for your viewing pleasure.
The KEB7 don't offer sound isolation, but they do come in four lovely opaque colors: white, pink, blue, and green. Match them with your Nano or other colorful MP3 players--and for just $9.99.
The SB49 is what Koss refers to as a "Communication Stereophone," which essentially refers to the built-in mic. This feature makes the headphones a proper fit for interactive gamers and those who use PC voice applications. The SB49 offers a collapsible design for easy storage and transport, an ample 8-foot cord, and a palatable price point ($44.99).
The Cobalt uses A2DP Bluetooth (that's stereo Bluetooth, in layman's terms) to play music completely wire-free. The headphones, which are priced at $299.99, provide a 30-foot range and a rather paltry eight-hour battery life. The package includes two transmitters: one USB for use with a computer, and one standard 3.5mm jack connection for MP3 players.
The cheapest of Koss' sound-isolating earbuds, the KEB20s come in three colors (blue, pink, or green) and only cost about $20.
For those who only have a five-spot to spare, there's the ultrasimple KEB4. But be forewarned: these probably don't sound much better than the stock pair that came with your MP3 player.
Working on a budget? The KSS10s only cost $10 and feature a behind-the-neck design, which is favored by many active users due to the secure fit.
The Tugo is a combo MP3 player and headphone set with controls built into the right earpiece. It features 512MB of memory, a 10-hour rated battery life, and a standard mini USB connection for syncing with a PC. It better sound great, too, considering its premium $299.99 price tag.
Like the dark look? These color-accented (pink, green, white, or blue) sound-isolation earbuds won't set you back, with a very manageable $24.99 price tag.
The KDE129 includes two transducers for each ear (read: high quality audio performance) and offers a secure earclip design for active users. These headphones include a carrying case and will sell for $199.99.
At $99.99, the KEB79 is Koss' high-end sound-isolation earbud. These phones are lightweight, and include a protective case, a wax cleaner, and an extension cord for added convenience. Three sizes of silicone ear tips should provide a secure fit for most users.
