Photos: I-mate Jaq3

Check out photos of this Windows Mobile smart phone here, and then read our review to see if it delivers on performance.

Thankfully, the I-mate Jaq3 looks and feels nothing like its bulky and plasticky predecessor, the I-mate Jaq.

There's a trend toward sleek, full-QWERTY smart phones and the I-mate Jaq3 is no exception. However, the one advantage the Jaq3 has over the likes of the Samsung BlackJack and the T-Mobile Dash is its touch screen.

There's an infrared port and a microSD slot on top of the device, but good luck trying to get the memory card in or out of the phone.

On the left spine of the Jaq3, you will find a scroll wheel, a today screen shortcut, and a camera activation key.

The I-mate Jaq3 features a soft-touch finish to give the exterior a rubber-like texture and make it easier to grip.

With its new slim profile, the Jaq3 is easier to carry. I-mate also includes a leather belt holster in the box.

With bubbly, tactile buttons and adequate spacing, the Jaq3's QWERTY keyboard is one of the few highlights of this smart phone. Fair warning to e-mail and text-messaging fanatics, you could easily get carried away with this thing.

The Jaq3 is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera, but we were pretty disappointed with the image quality of photos. Lines were blurry and colors looked washed out.

There isn't a ton of user-accessible memory available on the Jaq3, so invest in a microSD card to store large files like photos and music.
