Bandai has built a giant robot in Tokyo's Odaiba Shiokaze park to mark the 30th anniversary of the "Mobile Suit Gundam" anime series. The series debuted on Japanese television and went on to spawn numerous spinoffs, including movies, novels, comics, and video game adventures.

The full-scale Gundam stands almost 60 feet tall and will officially be unveiled July 11. Click through the gallery to see more of Pink Tentacle's photos of the bot towering over Tokyo at night.
