The iPhone's design sets it apart from the cell phone crowd. We don't know yet how it will perform, but we can say for sure it's pretty.
The iPhone's touchscreen menu uses colored icons to represent the phone's various features. You won't find a button anywhere.
At 0.46-inches thick, the iPhone makes a play for the popular thin phone trend. But what exactly are those ports on the side?
The iPhone's 2-megapixel camera lens sits at the top-left corner of the phone's rear face. Note that it doesn't look like there's a flash. And there's no self-portrait mirror either, unless the Apple icon can handle the job.
What looks to be the iPhone's stereo speakers sit at the device's bottom end. The docking port appears in the same spot.
The iPhone's touch dialpad, as well as Talk and End keys, are only visible when you want to make a call. There's always a learning curve when working with a touchscreen; we'll soon see how steep the iPhone's learning curve will be.
The iPhone's music player features large album art and more touch controls. Though a wired headset is visible here, the iPhone will have a stereo Bluetooth profile.
The glossy interface for scrolling through your playlists certainly looks attractive.
The iPhone's video display doesn't look so bad either.
A special sensor automatically adjusts the display orientation when you flip the iPhone on its side. Another sensor turns the display off when you put the phone to your ear.
The iPhone features a full Web browser that works in both display and portrait mode.
The iPhone will display Google maps and will let you find points of interest in your area. Wireless options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but no 3G.
