Panasonic had a standout 2008 on the Blu-ray front, with the DMP-BD35 earning the first Editors' Choice award for a standalone Blu-ray player. The company rolled out four new Blu-ray players at CES 2009, including the first portable Blu-ray player and the first VHS-Blu-ray combination player.
