Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF5 photo samples (preproduction)
We took an early model of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF5 for a spin around Madison Square Park.
Bright colors
This ISO 160 sample from the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF5 shows pretty good exposure in high-contrast light. This is at the default color settings, which (like most cameras) tend to push the contrast and saturation a little. I usually prefer the camera's neutral setting.
ISO 400
This sky in this shot came out very clean and it's exactly the exposure I wanted.
ISO 800
The foreground text on this shot stayed extremely crisp and there's no color noise to speak of.
ISO 1600
While there are some JPEG artifacts and some processing-induced softness that might get fixed by the time the camera ships, the midrange-sensitivity images don't show any hot pixels in the deep blacks, and overall look pretty good as long as you don't pixel-peep.
