I had a chance to take an early G3 with the 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens out for a brief whirl and was impressed with some of the improvements in the photo quality over the G2. The default colors looked more accurate than those of the G2, and the noise reduction and JPEG processing displayed fewer artifacts than either the G2 or the GF2. Further testing and analysis awaits a final evaluation unit, which we expect to get soon.
