CNET.com.au attended the annual Sony.Experience More showcase to check out the latest from the Japanese electronics giant.
Sony hosted its annual Sony.Experience More showcase on Friday July 27 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
With a focus on high definition, Blu-ray was the star of the day. The latest movies were on show, as well as Sony's standalone players and PlayStation 3. Knowing HD content is nothing without an impressive display, Sony released a whopping 26 Bravia LCD televisions and three new projectors.
We also saw new Vaio notebooks, audio equipment and the current range of cameras and camcorders.
Along with new Vaio notebooks, laptop bags and matching mice in fashionable colours were on display.
Admitting defeat against Apple's best-selling MP3 player, the electronics giant is now making speaker accessories for the iPod.
As seen at PMA earlier this year, the Sony Alpha range has two new models in the works. Pictured here are the mock-ups -- no actual working models have yet been produced.
Sony's OLED TV displays boasts a contrast ratio of one million to one.
The flagship model in the new Bravia TV range is the 70-inch XBR.
Blu-ray stole the show with the latest movie releases being presented on Sony's standalone players.
Three new home cinema projectors were on display, including the Bravia SXRD with 35,000:1 contrast ratio and the Bravia VPL-AW15, which boasts HDMI digital input, high contrast plate and 20dB quiet operation.
Sony's latest in photo printing -- the PictureStation digital photo printers.
A crew of rock candy creators demonstrated their skills for passers-by, producing batches of rainbow lollies which were filmed by HD camcorders and streamed in high definition before they were gobbled up.
The Sony Cyber-shot T series digital cameras were on display amongst a sea of sticky, sweet treats.

The Sony Bravia Theatre featured the DAVIS10 invisible speakers, Blu-ray audio, HD upscaling and active interior.
There were a range of mini and midi HiFi systems.
