Are you ready for the VR revolution to hit your living room?
The Oculus Rift is one of the newest, most refined VR sets to date. Click through the slideshow for more photos and read CNET's first impressions.
Available for preorder
The final version of the Oculus Rift is available for preorder at $599, £499 or AU$649. It's important to note that some accessories (not to mention a powerful PC) are not included.
Oculus Touch
New to the Oculus family is the Touch, a pair of motion-sensing grippable controllers.
Touch controllers sold separately
The Oculus Rift comes with an Xbox One controller, however the Touch will be sold separately.
Skeletal hand-grips
Each has buttons and an analog stick on top. According to CNET Senior Editor Scott Stein, they look like "skeletal hand-grips." Sounds like a metal band to me.
No word on pricing
You'll have to wait a bit longer to get your hands on these cutting-edge controllers. Pricing and availability for the Touch has yet to be announced.
Rock out
Rock Band VR is one of the games you can play on the Oculus Rift.
Playing VR games looks weird
CNET's Scott Stein is standing too close to the TV because VR games make you lose your sense of space.
Play at your own risk
Seeing too much VR too fast causes fatigue.
Up and down
There are games you can play seated or standing up.
Look at that packaging
This is one serious gaming rig. With affordable VR headset options like the Samsung VR, anyone who wants to pay for the Oculus Rift must be into high-end games.
VR face
This is what is called "VR face." It's what happens to your face when you have a VR headset wrapped around it for an elongated period of time.
