Up close with the Oco HD Wi-Fi Camera (pictures)
The Oco security camera has the same hardware as ArcSoft's Simplicam, but you'll find some key differences when you dig deeper.
The Oco HD Wi-Fi Camera costs $149 in the US, £109 in the UK and AU$199 in Australia.
This camera relies on a power adapter.
Plug it into the camera and an outlet to get started.
Then, download the Ivideon app, available for Android, iOS and Windows devices; there's also a web app for browser access.
The app will walk you through the entire set up process, which will probably take less than 5 minutes.
Oco has 720p live streaming, night vision, two-way talk, motion and sound email and push alerts, optional cloud storage and more.
It also happens to look the same as ArcSoft's Simplicam.
That's because Oco and ArcSoft have the same hardware.
But, it does have some differentiating features.
Oco has an adaptive video feed that is designed to adjust automatically when bandwidth changes.
And, Oco's cloud storage starts at $3.99 per month (at the current exchange rate, that's about £2.50, AU$5), while Simplicam's will set you back $4.99 a month (roughly £3.25, AU$6.50).
