NTT Docomo phones at MWC (photos)

Japanese mobile operator NTT Docomo always brings a fun set of cell phones and smartphones to Mobile World Congress. Take a look in our hands-on photo gallery.

When she's not scoping out stories, you can find her checking out live music or surfing in the chilly waters of Northern California.

NTT Docomo

Mobile World Congress is an international show, with handset manufacturers, mobile operators, and developers from all over the world converging in one place. As such, it always gives us an opportunity to check out some of the devices available in other parts of the world, and over the years, we've enjoyed visiting Japanese mobile provider NTT Docomo's booth for its cool and unusual cell phones, and this year was no different.

Pictured here is a cell phone designed with Finnish textile and clothing design company Marimekko.

SH-028 Marimekko

Marimekko's Unikko floral design is one of the company's signature patterns and is present throughout the phone. The handset was manufactured by Sharp and features a 3.4-inch, 480x854-pixel display; an 8-megapixel camera; and support for mobile payments.

SH-04C Q-Pot

Last year we saw a mobile phone from NTT Docomo designed to look like a chocolate bar. Now, we've got a sweet biscuit-inspired phone. Yum!

SH-08C Touch Wood

We remember seeing the SH-08C Touch Wood at last year's Mobile World Congress, but it was behind glass, so we're glad we could get hands-on time with this cool little number.

The eco-friendly Touch Wood is made from trees that have been culled from overgrown forests in Japan. It's shaped like a bean.

Regza Phone T-01C

The Regza Phone T-01C is a waterproof phone. We found the phone's description funny. It read, "Use your phone with peace of mind in the bathroom or kitchen, or even when you get caught outside in the rain."
