The Nokia 2520 tablet, here in the hands of CEO Stephen Elop, is just one of the new gadgets Nokia has revealed at its Nokia World event on October 22. Click through the pictures to see more.
This year's Nokia World event took place in Abu Dhabi.
The assembled press eagerly await Nokia's news.
There are three new Asha phones. These are Nokia's low-cost, low-tech mobiles. The 500, 502 and 503 are new, with the 503 being the first Asha to offer 3G.
The Asha 502 and the Asha 503 both have 5-megapixel cameras with flash. The 500 has a smaller 2-megapixel camera.
The bigger screen results in more Live Tiles on the homescreen.
This is the 6-inch Lumia 1520, a massive new Windows Phone device.
That yellow unmistakably says "Nokia."
The 1520 has a 20-megapixel camera, with a slew of new photo features.
Nokia's new Storyteller app automatically integrates your photos into a maps interface, using Nokia's Here Maps info. Your pictures are then placed in 'sets', based on where they were taken.
The 1520 has four microphones, and has 32GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. Nokia is also bringing Vine and Instagram to Windows Phone, for more photography fun.
The 1520 has a quad-core processor, meaning it handles games like Temple Run 2 with ease.
Vine is coming to Windows Phone.
And so is Instagram! Great news if you have food or pets that are currently going unphotographed.
The 1520 isn't Nokia's only new 6-inch phone -- there's also the 1320, a lower-spec mobile with a dual-core processor and a lower-resolution screen, as well as a less powerful camera. That more modest hardware should keep the price down though.
Here's the back of the cheaper Lumia 1320.
But wait -- there's more! This is the Lumia 2520, Nokia's first tablet.
Nokia says the 2520 boasts a very bright screen, to make it easy to read in the sunlight. It has a unibody design and LTE.
It has a 6.7-megapixel camera on the back, and Nokia seems very proud of this tablet's photo prowess -- but do you really want to be taking pictures with a device this large?
Here's Nokia's video-editing app.
This is an exclusive game coming to the 2520 tablet, based on How to Train your Dragon.
The Lumia 2520 takes admirable photos of boats, apparently. There's a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, or the occasional selfie.
This is the Nokia power keyboard, which turns the 2520 into a little laptop, and also provides extra battery power.
It's out in the US and UK first, later this year, for just shy of $500. It's powered by Windows RT, though -- so you'll only be able to install software that comes from Microsoft's own app store.
