The Nokia N8 is the first smartphone to ship running Symbian 3. It's available unlocked for $549.
One of the improvements of Symbian 3 is a more simplified and customizable user interface. As such, you now get three home screen panels, which you can personalize with widgets, and a one-touch interaction model.
Nokia's always made some great hardware, and the N8 is no exception. It's compact and has a high-quality construction.
On the right side of the phone, you will find a volume rocker, a lock switch, and a camera activation/capture button.
One of the best features of the Nokia N8 is its 12-megapixel camera, which also comes with a Xenon flash and HD video recording capabilities.
The N8's picture quality is really impressive. Images came out sharp and showed more detail than other camera phones. Colors were also vibrant and rich.
Here's an example of a picture taken outdoors.
This image of a moving subway was taken using the camera's Sport mode.
