Mobile World Congress doesn't get going until tomorrow, but two Nokias have leaked ahead of it, via the @evleaks Twitter account. The Lumia 720 (pictured above) and 520 are both mid-range Windows Phone 8 handsets, with screens around the 4-inch size, and 1GHz processors beavering away inside.
Both handsets were rumoured before, but this is the first look we've had of either. They're both typically Nokia, with colourful backs and bright, vivid screens. Windows Phone 8's Live Tiles are present and correct too.
The 720 is the higher-specced of the two, with a 4.3-inch screen, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of storage and a microSD card slot. The 520, meanwhile, comes with a 4-inch display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera and 4GB of storage.
The 720 will slot in right above the Lumia 620, while the 520 -- as the name suggests -- will be right below. Considering the 620 is one of the best budget smart phones around, these both have a lot to live up to. They should help give Nokia a really strong Windows Phone 8 range, with a handset for every price, all the way up to the top-of-the-line Lumia 920.
According to Engadget, both devices are heading to Indonesia, so we'll have to wait and see if they reach the UK. I'm sure we'll hear more once Mobile World Congress gets into full swing.
I don't think we'll be hearing anything about Nokia's much-fabled tablet next week though. The Finnish phone firm is said to be hard at work on a slate PC, but analysts reckon it won't be unveiled next week. Hey ho. I'm sure a slew of new mobiles and tablets from other companies will suffice.
What do you reckon of both phones? Let me know in the comments, or on our Facebook page.
