Nokia 701
The Nokia 701 is a bit more of a high-end device than the Nokia 600 and Nokia 700. Its biggest selling point, however, is its display. The smartphone has a 3.5-inch IPS LCD display with ClearBlack technology, which Nokia says is the brightest on the market today. The screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Features
Some of the more advanced features of the Nokia 700 include a front-facing camera for video calls, 8GB of internal memory, and a new graphics coprocessor that delivers four times the graphics memory of previous Symbian phones.
Symbian Belle
Like Symbian's 600 and 700, the 701 will run Symbian Belle. New OS enhancements include a pull-down notifications tray, more powerful productivity apps from Microsoft, and better multitasking.
Camera
The Nokia 701 has a more powerful 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash.
Availability and pricing
The Nokia 701 will ship in the third quarter of 2011 with an expected retail price of 290 euros or $417 U.S. before taxes and subsidies.
