Customizable and comfy

The headphones are a special configuration of Aiaiai's already existing TMA-2 modular headphones.

Swapping out the parts

Though the headphone's components were custom-chosen by Nextbit, the TMA-2 is still modular. This means you can swap out parts like the speaker unit, earpads and headband.

That trademark blue

Though the TMA-2's cord color usually runs in black, royal blue, yellow and red, the one designed for the Nexbit Robin will come in its distinct, pastel robin's-egg blue.

Having a quick listen

During my brief time with it, the headphones were comfortable to wear. Music sounded loud and clear -- with deep bass and rich sound.

Configured just for Robin

According to Nextbit, its TMA-2 variation has speaker units and drivers that are optimized for playing audio and music from the Robin handset.

Audio improvements all around

As for the phone itself, the company's recent software update improves the dual front-facing speakers, rendering music louder and clearer than when the device first launched in February.
