Browse your books

On the home screen you can browse your books by thumbnail, and a tap on the book's cover opens it up.

Switch to list view

Touch the button in the lower left to switch to list view. The advantage here are the dots below the title and author that give you an indication of your progress through the book.

Go to menu

Touch the open book icon in the upper left to quickly move to other locations in the book, look at book extras, and browse through your notes. The Before You Go section is where you can send an e-mail to yourself so you can purchase the book.

Switch fonts and themes

Go to the View Options in the upper right of the screen to increase or decrease the font size, switch fonts, change themes, and other formatting options.

E-mail yourself to buy a book

By either swiping one page further at the end of a sample chapter or by accessing the Before You Go section from the menu, the Kindle app will pre-populate an e-mail to send to yourself. From there you can check your e-mail, touch the link, then buy the book.
