Mary Morstan (Amanda Abbington) -- also known as Mrs. Watson -- may look like a fine lady who understands social protocol, but that doesn't mean she won't find some mischief to get into during the upcoming "Sherlock" special.
In the original stories, Inspector Lestrade (Rupert Graves) not only often consults with Sherlock Holmes, he has the upmost respect for him.
"We're not jealous of you down at Scotland Yard. No, sir, we are proud of you, and if you come down to-morrow there's not a man, from the oldest inspector to the youngest constable, who wouldn't be glad to shake you by the hand," Lestrade tells Holmes in "The Adventure of the Six Napoleons."
If you're going to smoke a pipe like Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch), you're going to need an elegant smoking jacket like this one. The jacket's purpose it to absorb pipe smoke and protect his clothing from falling ashes.
"Draw your chair up, and hand me my violin, for the only problem which we have still to solve is how to while away these bleak autumnal evenings," Sherlock Holmes once said in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes."
Now that we can see Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) smoking, we wonder if he'll finally utter the words "It is quite a three pipe problem, and I beg that you won't speak to me for 50 minutes," as he did in the story "The Red-Headed League."
