Orbi Wi-Fi system

The Orbi is a Wi-Fi system that includes a router and an add-on satellite unit. They look identical but they can't work interchanably.

The router also has a WAN (internet) port while the add-on unit has all four LAN ports.

The two are preprogramed to work together, if you cahnge the Wi-Fi settings on the router that will automatcially be replicated to the add-on unit.

What's special about the Orbi is the fact the two unit uses a dedicated band to connect to each other and two other bands for clients to connect to. This means no matter what unit, the router or the satellite, clients are connected to, they receive the same end result, without signal loss.

In testing the Orbi proved have both fast speed and large Wi-Fi coverage, enough to justify its high-cost of $400.

There will be more Wi-Fi systems coming soon to the market, but for now, the Orbi is the best system you can get. It can quickly cover a large area with Wi-Fi without compromising the speed.
