Nest's 4K security camera auto-zooms to see faces up close

Meet the Nest Cam IQ, a $299/£299 security camera. 

Note: This model is not currently sold in Australia. At the current exchange rate, $299 converts to roughly AU$395.

While the IQ looks similar to Nest's outdoor camera, this indoor-only model has more advanced tech inside. 

Its 4K image sensor allows you to see details at 12x digital zoom. 

The IQ also offers free Person Alerts, so it will tell you when it thinks it sees someone. 

It won't tell you who it sees, though. For that, you have to pay for the Nest Aware subscription service. 

This security camera also brings improved audio performance thanks to its speaker upgrade. 

It also works with the same Nest app and the same smart home partners -- IFTTT, Works with Nest and Amazon Alexa.
