Myfox's $478/£418 Smart Home Security System includes a 110-decibel siren, a plug-in Wi-Fi hub, a door/window sensor, a key fob and a 720p live streaming camera.

You do have the option to buy just the siren, hub, sensor and key fob for $279/£249.

You can also get the camera as a standalone device for $199/£169.

The 110-decibel siren is definitely loud enough to scare someone away.

The Wi-Fi hub plugs into an outlet, but also has a battery backup of up to 6 hours.

The key fob gives you control over your home even if you don't have a smartphone.

And, the door/window sensor has built-in vibration-sensing tech that can tell the difference between a knock at the door and a forced entry.
