Motorola Droid X2
It's been almost a year since the Motorola Droid X made its debut on Verizon Wireless, and now we have its successor. The Motorola Droid X2 is available now online and in stores on May 26 for $199.99 with a two-year contract.
New but old
The Droid X2 offers some new features, including a dual-core processor and a qHD display. However, we were disappointed by the lack of 4G support and a front-facing camera.
Design
If you own or have ever seen the Droid X, then the Droid X2 will feel like deja vu. The two phones are nearly identical in design except the X2 has a higher-resolution screen. Motorola also did away with the dedicated camera button on the right side, a change we're not too happy about.
Left spine
On the left spine, you'll find the HDMI port and Micro-USB port. An HDMI cable is not included in the box, so you'll need to purchase one if you plan on mirroring photos and videos from your phone to your HDTV.
Top view
The top of the phone houses the power button and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Camera
Like its predecessor, the Droid X2 has an 8-megapixel camera and a dual LED flash, but it offers 44 percent faster shot-to-shot performance.
Picture quality
Though we did notice faster shutter performance, picture quality could still be better. Photos taken indoors looked soft and had a pinkish hue.
