LAS VEGAS--The Microsoft Surface Pro, much like last year's Surface, combines a 10-inch tablet with a magnetically detachable full keyboard-and-trackpad cover. Unlike the RT version of the Surface, Surface Pro has a full ultrabook-level set of Intel third-gen Core processor specs and a 1080p screen.

Kickstand support
The rear kickstand combined with Type Cover (with physically moving keys) or Touch Cover (with a flatter keyboard touch surface) work well. Tabletop computing's preferred, but you could balance one on your lap.

Wraparound vents subtly wrap around the rear, enabling 360-degree venting along with two small interior fans.
