Lightweight case for a lightweight slate

The best movie watching slate gets a boost in productivity potential thanks to the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard cover. Starting at $100, it provides a comfortable typing experience, slim design, and water-resistant exterior.

Slim and simple profile

The Logitech case props up the tablet in similar fashion to comparable tablet case/stands. It's thin, but not flimsy.

Empty side view

When inside the case, the tablets back is anchored by a plastic piece that snugly fits the bottom edge and magnetically connects to the front of the keyboard.

Magnetic edge

The magnetic edge on the bottom is angular and props up the tablet in a stable position.

Up-close edge

There's a Bluetooth pairing button, on/off switch, and micro-USB port on the top right edge of the keyboard.

Bumper corners

The hard plastic corners protect the tablet from getting dinged in a fall.

Room for buttons

The bumper-like clips don't get in the way of the power buttons or volume rocker.

Slip right on in

The Tab S slips into the plastic clips with ease. It's a surprisingly secure fit that doesn't allow the tablet to slip around.

Two textures

On the outside, half of the back cover switches materials to a faux-leather finish that's smooth and comfortable to the touch. It also provides a space for the 5-megapixel rear camera and LED flash.

Water-resistant

The exterior of the case features water-resistant materials. It's a nice touch of durability, however, the plastic keyboard is still susceptible to water damage.

Relatively slim

The Galaxy Tab s 10.5 is one of the thinnest large tablets and the Logitech case adds to its girth, but not by much.

Spaced keyboard

I found the keyboard spacious enough for a comfortable typing experience, but the smaller workspace took a little while for me to get used to.

Smudge prone

The shiny plastic around the keyboard's keys feels cheap and attracts smudges easily.

Second viewing angle

The tablet case can also be folded to a more flat angle, for typing with the on-screen keyboard or awkwardly watching a movie with your head down.
