NEW YORK--LG was the host for last night's concert featuring Jane's Addiction. The concert hall, Terminal 5 in Manhattan, was packed with fans of the band, as well as marketing and telecom executives, always an interesting clash of cultures.
The purpose of the event: to promote the upcoming Thrill 4G, which AT&T will sell for $99.99 in the coming weeks.

Brian Miller of Hampton Roads, Va., who won LG's Facebook sweepstakes to attend the concert in New York City, said he'd gladly give up his Palm Pixi on Sprint and switch to AT&T for the LG Thrill 4G. Unfortunately for Miller, his new LG Thrill wasn't available yet, so he was still sporting his Palm Pixi at the concert.

Shooting in 3D
Fans were using the LG Thrill 4G phones to shoot video of the concert in 3D. The footage will be edited into a 60-minute documentary of the concert, which will premiere on YouTube on August 4.
