LG Hi-Fi Plus amps up G5's audio (pictures)

The Hi-Fi Plus is an audio accessory for the LG G5 smartphone, developed in association with Bang & Olufsen.

The Hi-Fi Plus is one of a handful of debut proprietary snap-on accessories for the new G5 -- it snaps on in place of the bottom bezel.

Once in place, it's a bit larger than the original bezel -- but it has a speaker and headphone jack that deliver better audio.

Beware of color mismatch.

The G5 (and snap-on modules like the Hi-Fi Plus) use the newer USB-C port.

The G5 also has a replaceable battery.

If you don't have a G5, the Hi-Fi Plus can connect to some other phones via USB-C when it's paired with its other half (exact phone compatibility is not yet known). Pricing and availability of the Hi-Fi Plus have yet to be announced.
