LG G6 is tall, sleek and water resistant

With a more mainstream and sleek design, the G6 is LG's follow-up to last year's modular-like G5. Sporting a 5.7-inch display, water resistance and two cameras, the phone is LG's most widely appealing flagship.

Unlike the G5, the G6 is decidedly not modular.

It features a 5.7-inch 2,880x1,440-pixel display (565 pixels per inch).

Most smartphone displays have a 16:9 aspect ratio (like a TV), but the LG G6 has a wider 18:9 ratio.

This new aspect ratio gives the G6 a long, tall screen.

Because of the longer screen, you might see black bars when watching some videos.

Despite its large screen, the G6 is definitely pocketable... just maybe not skinny jeans pocketable.

Our favorite website looks sharp and has nice contrast on that G6 display.

Like all the cool phones lately, the G6 packs a USB-C port.

But don't worry, a headset jack means the G6 still has some old school charm, too.

That's right, your old headphones will work just fine on the G6 especially when listening to some Beyoncé.

The left side has a volume rocker, to play Queen Bey at the loud volume she deserves.

The right side has a SIM card tray.

The G6 can support expandable memory up to 2 TB -- that means you can take lots of cat photos.

You can see the G6's antennas lines peeking out on the sides.

There is a fingerprint reader on the back.

The G6 is one of the most attractive phones LG has made.

It comes in black and silver. There is a white version as well, but it is not available in the US.

The G6 is the first LG flagship to be water resistant.

With an Ingress Protection Rating of IP68, the G6 is both dust and water resistant.

It can submerged in a meter of water for up to 30 minutes -- meaning it can survive an accidental beverage spill or two.

The US variant of the G6 supports wireless charging even when wet.

The phone's design is polished and premium -- go LG!

The G6 has two 13-megapixel cameras.

One camera is standard the other is wide angle.

When taking pictures, you can easily switch between cameras just by tapping on the icon on the right-side of the screen.

With the taller display, one of our favorite features is the photo strip displayed across the top of your photo gallery.

LG gives you a handful of photo filters with hip names like 1839 and Urban.

If dual cameras aren't enough, the G6 also has a dual flash.

There is also a 5-megapixel selfie camera with a nifty wide-angle mode option.

The G6 comes with an app called Square Camera.

The Square Camera app packs in some really handy features.

You can overlay images on top of each other which means anyone can be Superman.

The screen is twice as tall as it is wide which means it can display two square photos at once.

One of the coolest features of Square Camera is the ability overlay shapes to aid your composition skills when framing.

With all the square photos you can take, now you just need to find a social media platform to share them on.

The G6 is tall but svelte. The bezel around the display is super thin.

Unlike the G5, the G6 does not have a removeable battery.

The battery on the G6 is 3,300mAh compared to the G5's 2,800mAh battery.

The G6 runs Androind Nougat.

It's the only other phone besides the Pixel to run Google Assistant natively.

The G6 display will make movie-watching a comfortable experience with its large display.

Despite its size for some people the G6 will be easily used one-handed.

The dual cameras and fingerprint reader give the rear of the G6 an owl-like face.
