LG Connect 4G heralds new LTE wave for MetroPCS (photos)

The new LTE smartphone from LG features Android 2.3, a dual-core processor, and a bright screen. Unfortunately, it's not much to look at.

New wave of LTE

MetroPCS has certainly taken its time developing its LTE portfolio, but the LG Connect 4G will give customers a greater range of options.

Gingerbread inside

Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, the LG Connect 4G will be one of the fastest of the carrier's phones. Its 4-inch Nova display--with 700 nits of luminance--will also make it one of the brightest.

Cameras

It has a 5-megapixel camera on the back end and a VGA front-facing camera.

Look and feel

Despite features that are more advanced than those of the Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G, I find the LG Connect 4G blockier and more basic-looking; a beautiful phone it is not.
