Get a better handle on photos with LG G5's Cam Plus (pictures)

LG's add-on accessory for the G5 takes aim at photo fans and offers some direct-access controls.

The G5 has a 2,800mAh internal battery, but the grip has its own power source that adds an additional 1,100mAh of juice.

Getting a grip

The Cam Plus adds enough bulk to make gripping the phone more comfortable, but because it doesn't have a headphone jack, you wouldn't want to keep the accessory attached to the phone at all times.

Adding a bit of heft

With the grip attached, the phone has a slight tilt while lying on a desk.

Having a better handle

While you still can't grip it like a camera -- that would be resting your thumb on the screen -- it does add a measure of stability when shooting.

Ideal for photography fans

With its 5.3-inch display the G5 is large, the Cam Plus makes taking pictures more comfortable. If you're not a photo enthusiast, though, you can still use the device's camera just fine without it. Click here for more information on the LG G5.
