Kingdom Rush Origins keeps the fun and familiar look (pictures)

As the third installment of a the popular tower-defense franchise, Kingdom Rush Origins continues to get better, improving upon the fun and familiar gameplay.

You only get four towers, but with so many ways to upgrade, you have plenty of options.

As you progress you'll unlock new challenges. The map is also where you can find things like hero and tower upgrades, an encyclopedia of all towers, heroes and enemies and your list of achievements.

You'll want to have a mix of different tower types to most efficiently hold off the enemy onslaught.

Whenever a new monster shows up on the scene, read the associated tool tip to find out its strengths and weaknesses.

The Hero room is where you can select a hero (across the top), and upgrade each of the abilities (in the bottom right).

Like many games these days, you'll get a star rating at the end of a level so you'll know how well you did.
