On Wednesday, Apple unveiled a trio of new iPhones during a press event in Cupertino, California. The lineup includes the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, and they are the company's biggest and most expensive offerings to date.

From left to right (and biggest to smallest), the new iPhones are the 6.5-inch XS Max, the 6.1-inch XR and the 5.8-inch XS.
The iPhone XS (pronounced "10-S", not "excess") features an OLED HDR display, a faster and more efficient A12 Bionic chip along with improved photos and video technology. Preorders have already begun and the phone goes on sale Sept. 21.
The iPhone XS and XS Max come in three colors: gold, black and grey.
On the back, the phones sport two 12-megapixel cameras including a telephoto lens that can take portrait shots.

The front houses a 7-megapixel camera with Face ID that enables users to unlock their phones and authorize mobile payments.

Just like past iterations, the iPhones do not have a headphone jack. Instead, users will have to use wireless headphones or connect through a Lightning port cable.
New to the phone is a dual-SIM capability, which include a nano-SIM and an e-SIM.
The phone is still water resistant and satisfies the IP68 standard of dust and water resistance.
