iOS 6 makes your iPhone easier to use (pictures)
The latest operating-system update for Apple's mobile devices has tons of feature tweaks and interface changes that make it easier to use than ever before.
3D flyover in the Maps app
Among the most stunning features in the new Maps app are the 3D flyover views. Several cities have already been added for you to explore.
Maps show traffic along with useful icons
You not only get traffic lines with the new Maps app, but accident icons and other useful indicators you can tap to get more info.
Several 3D modeled cities to explore
Several cities are ready for you to explore. Here's Coit Tower in San Francisco as shown on an iPhone 4S.
Traffic lines keep you out of gridlock
Want to know the best way out of the city? Check the Maps app for traffic lines to see where the most congestion is.
Find the restaurant, get directions
Perform a search for a restaurant and hit the arrow on the right for more info or the green car icon on the left for turn-by-turn directions.
Ask Siri for current movies
When you ask Siri for the latest movies, you get a Rotten Tomatoes-powered interface so you can browse right from the same window.
Ask Siri how the Giants are doing
Ask Siri for the latest sports scores or current standings for your favorite team, and it delivers what you asked for in the same window almost immediately.
Passbook on the way
The Passbook is not available at the time of this slideshow, but it will keep your movie tickets, boarding passes, coupons, and more in one place. When you get to the venue, you can show your ticket for a quick scan.
Yelp reviews from the Maps app
If you look for a restaurant in the Maps app, you'll now have options to read reviews powered by Yelp.
Food pics help your decision
Still not sure if you want to eat there? Check out the pictures of dishes that other Yelp users have taken.
Stay connected with your VIPs
The Mail app lets you designate specific contacts as VIPs. Now you can be sure to get notifications for important e-mails and always know when your VIPs send you a message.
Add a photo to an e-mail
Though it's not as elegant as the Messages app, you can now touch and hold the body of an e-mail to bring up the add photos or videos option and add media to your e-mail.
Facebook integration
Just like Twitter integration in iOS 5, you'll now be able to quickly post a new status to Facebook, and add photos, video, or location information.
Even the Share button gets an upgrade
The Share button used to give you a boring list of share options, but in iOS 6 you'll get a group of icons with more options, including shared Photo Streams.
Hourly weather forecast
With tweaks to the weather app, you can now know the weather forecast for every hour of the day.
FaceTime
FaceTime was launched with the iPhone 4, but now you'll be able to make FaceTime calls over cellular in iOS 6.
