Inside the Boeing 787 Dreamliner Gallery (photos)

At Boeing's 787 Dreamliner Gallery in Everett, Wash., airline customers can explore various interior options for the new aircraft.

Kent was a senior managing editor at CNET News. A veteran of CNET since 2003, he reviewed the first iPhone and worked in both the London and San Francisco offices. When not working, he's planning his next vacation, walking his dog or watching planes land at the airport (yes, really).

At Boeing's 787 Dreamliner Gallery in Everett, Wash., airline customers can explore various interior options for the new aircraft. On the night before the Dreamliner's first flight, we took a look inside.

Here, at the Gallery's entrance, a large-scale model shows the 787's distinctive profile.

Dreamliner seats

The Gallery doesn't offer a full-scale mockup of the cabin, but customers can view a small section with a few rows of seats. A wide array of cabin lighting choices are available. The bright interior shown here could be used for boarding or a meal service.

Night lighting

A darker setting, like the one shown here, could be used for a night flight. Adjacent to this room is an area where customers can select from hundreds of seat fabrics, carpets, and cabin interior colors.
