On Wednesday, Sony's PlayStation 2 celebrated its ninth birthday. And while Sony is already three years into its PlayStation 3 era, the PS2 is still moving more than 100,000 units a month.
One reason it still sells so well is that publishers are still putting out games for the platform, and all told, there have been nearly 10,000 titles for the PS2.
Still, some titles have risen above, often far above, the others. These are the top 10 bestsellers, according to VGChartz.com.
Coming in at No. 1, not surprisingly, is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The game that got its publisher, Rockstar Games, in deep water for the hidden inclusion of adults-only content--the scandal known as "
Hot Coffee"--GTA: SA, as it's sometimes known, sold 18.05 million units worldwide since it was released on October 26, 2004.
