Huawei E5786 wireless router unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2014 (pictures)

Huawei unveiled what it calls the "world's fastest wireless router," the E5786 today at a press conference at Mobile World Congress.

Huawei unveiled at Mobile World Congress today in Barcelona, Spain, what it claims is to be the "world's fastest Mi-Fi" device, the E5786 LTE Wi-Fi mobile hotspot.

The device comes with a Micro-USB 3.0 port for charging and takes just three hours to fully charge its powerful 3,000mAh battery from empty.

The Huawei E5786 is the first mobile cellular router that support the dual-stream of the 802.11n and the first that supports true dual-band. This means for connected Wi-Fi clients, it offers up to 300Mbps connection speed, on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency bands at the same time. For cellular Internet, it supports the latest 4G-LTE standard with up to 300Mbps for downloading and up to 100Mbps for uploading.

Apart from being a mobile router, the Huawei E5786 MiFi can also work as a juice pack with enough juice to more than charge an iPhone 5 from empty to full.

It takes just about 5 seconds to start, and comes with a Menu button to control its small LCD that allows for quick access to the device's status.

It's very slim at just 0.6 inch thick. Weighing just 5 ounces, it's very light for traveling.
