The style-heavy HTC Rhyme Android phone will be coming to the UK on 17 October exclusively on O2, sporting all sorts of accessories and a colour scheme that's plummier than Prince Charles. Click through the photos above to gaze upon its regal purple loveliness.

Previously known as the HTC Bliss, the Rhyme looks like just about every other phone HTC has spat out in the last year or so, but we like the rich purple hues.

While based on past performance the case is likely to be pretty hefty, there's nothing wrong with a substantial mobile, especially if you need to knock someone unconscious in a hurry -- perhaps an uppity commoner.

The Rhyme will come packing a new version of HTC's Sense UI. Sense is the skin that HTC layers over Google's Android operating system, and it's one of the few Android skins that doesn't make our skin crawl. As you can see in the shots above, there's a new homescreen in place.

Communication between the Rhyme and your brain will be handled by a 3.7-inch LCD touchscreen. Around the back there's a 5-megapixel camera too.

Accessorise

The Rhyme has a bunch of supporting accessories, including a dock that turns the phone into an alarm clock, a sports armband, a car speaker, a Bluetooth headset and -- best of all -- a charm that glows when you've got an incoming call or text. We probably shouldn't be so impressed by that.

Get the Rhyme from O2, and in the box you'll find the speaker dock, charm, headphones and a leather pouch. Lovely. We'll be getting hands-on time with the Rhyme as soon as humanly possible, so stay tuned.

Are you feeling the rhythm, feeling the Rhyme? Or does this fruity phone leave you cold? Let us know in the comments section below, or on our Facebook wall.
