Google refreshes My Tracks for Android (pictures)
The recently updated Google's My Tracks app now gives users the capability to pause and resume while recording their runs, bike rides, and other adventures. The bad news is, the interface is still pretty bland.

Revamped dashboard
My Tracks' main dashboard has been revamped to make the record button a more prominent feature. Also, it now lets you pause at any point during your recording. Unfortunately, though, the interface is still in serious need of some style.
Chart your trip
My Tracks' chart shows your elevation and speed across distance.
Map overview
The Map screen gives you an overview of your trip. You can zoom in and even overlay satellite photography, just as you can with Google Maps.
GPS is key
Make sure you have a reliable GPS signal when using My Tracks. Otherwise, your trip might look a bit...inaccurate.
Satellite playback
The satellite playback feature summons Google Earth to show you a sweet flyover view of any of your previously recorded tracks.
New widget
The updated widget lets you start recording with a single tap, right from your Android Home screen.
