Google+ gets photo auto-filters, goes ga-ga for GIFs (pictures)
Google overhauls its social network with a major emphasis on photos and automation. Here's what it looks like.
GIF making
Nerds of the Internet rejoice - Google+ Photos now offers a GIF maker.
Changes to the Google+ social network -- announced Wednesday at the Google I/O conference at the Moscone Center West here, and launching Wednesday as well -- include a new interface, some new Hangouts features, and most impressively, a series of automatic filters and hashtags for your photos.
Photos in Google+ Hangouts
Better photo support comes to Hangouts, which Google is using to go gunning for Skype.
New look for Google+ Stream
The new Google+ Stream, your news feed, takes its cues in a good way from Pinterest. That means bigger, better images.
Auto-enhance your photos
Photos in Google+ will now auto-correct images, tweaking things like contrast, brightness, noise, and skin smoothing.
Auto-flitering in Photos
Google+ Photos will also automatically filter out bad photos based on poor exposure and blurriness. They're not deleted, just hidden until you want to see them.
