The Global Climate Strike kicked off on Friday. Children and adults around the world are walking out of schools and workplaces to "demand an end to the age of fossil fuels." CNET's Australian team was on the ground as huge crowds gathered in Sydney.

Over 300,000 protesters gather at The Domain park in Sydney, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
