Simple and quick video messaging with Glide (pictures)
You can send video messages or chat back and forth with friends with this free Android app.
Shoot and share
Glide is a free video-messaging app with a twist. Instead of live video conferencing, you can send up to five-minute long videos to friends and family that they can view and respond when they can. You can also send videos back and forth quickly, mimicking a real-time conversation.
Video chats
The app's home screen shows all of your current individual and group conversations, as well as some of your contacts. Tap the pink camcorder button to record a new message.
What do you want to say?
When you record your video, you can switch between the front and back cameras on your phone and apply a filter. When you're done, send the video off to one or more of your Glide contacts.
Conversation view
On each conversation page, you can view all of the messages you've sent and received. You can play any message at any time, so long as you have an Internet connection.
Share what you see
You can share messages you send or receive to other apps on your phone, or forward the message to someone else in Glide.
Connect with strangers
If you're bored with chatting with friends and family, you can chat with strangers in Glide. Just set up a public profile and you can browse others who want to chat publically in the app.
