Gionee's latest handset is the Elife S7, but unlike the name, the phone's not 7mm thick -- it's 5.5mm, the same as last year's Elife 5.5.
The phone sports a full-HD AMOLED display, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Gionee's own custom Amigo 3.0 skin.
Like most Chinese ROMs, there is no app drawer, instead apps are all located on the home screen, like iOS.
Interestingly, the phone uses a control panel similar to iOS -- you swipe up from the bottom to adjust the brightness, toggle the Wi-Fi, etc.
As mentioned, despite the Amigo 3.0 skin, the phone's powered by Android 5.0.
Because the phone doesn't take the super slim route, there's room for a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone also ships with a pair of premium headphones.
The front and rear of the phone are clad in Gorilla Glass 3.
The rear 13-megapixel camera is flushed, which is certainlly impressive.
The phone comes in three colors, seen here is the black version. Besides white, the phone will also come in blue.
Fingerprint smudges on the black version are a lot more obvious.
