Ghostbusters Experience hits NYC at Madame Tussauds (pictures)
A brand-new "Ghostbusters" experience opening at Madame Tussauds in New York City's Times Square means plenty of ghosts, and some VR, too.
Outside Madame Tussauds before our tour of the experience, several classic Ecto-1 cars were waiting with crews of Ghostbusters milling nearby.

Kate McKinnon looks badass in what looks like a recreation of CNET's PC lab.
Melissa McCarthy, ready to blast Slimer across the room.
Kristen Wiig, also facing off against Slimer (these wax statues are super-realistic).
A creepy player piano tinkles away with a familiar tune.
A long stairway descends into the next part of the exhibit: VR.
The Void's custom-made Ghostbuster: Dimension experience begins with an instructional video, like a theme park.
Remember, it's a historic landmark.
The Void's VR hardware awaits in racks, before the experience begins.
Getting suited up with a helmet, vibrating vest, backpack and a blaster.
I feel a little bit like a Ghostbuster. Inside, we walk through a series of rooms while in VR, battling ghosts like we're in a massive holodeck.
Last, the helmet. Tight fit over the glasses.
VR photos are rarely flattering.
