Down the middle of the FirstMix DJ controller you'll find buttons and knobs for adjusting the crossfade, EQ, effects, tempo, track selection, and play/pause. These same controls (and others) are also available through the software.

The controls included on the FirstMix and the layout of the controller is simple enough or first-time users. Features such as reverse and scratch modes, and a handful of effects, give aspiring DJs some tools to grow into.

Overall, the FirstMix controller isn't the sleekest DJ controller we've seen and its small size and all-plastic construction feel a bit toy-like. Still, for $99, it's a fun DJ tool and the included software is surprisingly capable.
