GE and Alexa live happily ever after in this induction range

The GE PHB920SJSS is a 30-inch wide freestanding range. The $2,000 stove has a stainless-steel finish.

The highlights of this stove are its built-in Wi-Fi and integration with Alexa, Amazon's digital assistant. Thanks to a "Skill" called Geneva, you can use voice controls to complete certain oven functions -- if you have an Alexa-enabled device such as the Amazon Echo Dot pictured here.

This stove is just one of GE's Wi-Fi connected appliances that work with Alexa. Other products include refrigerators and dishwashers.

You have to press the "Remote Enable" button on the range before you can use voice commands or control the oven from its corresponding app.

The PHB920SJSS has a smooth cooktop with four induction burners and a warming zone. The induction burners use electromagnetic energy to create heat, which is more efficient than traditional electric or gas cooktops.

The flat, touchpad controls add to the range's overall streamlined appearance. The range also forgoes burner knobs and opts for buttons to adjust a burners temperature.

You can link the two burners on the left of the cooktop to create a bigger cooking surface for items like a griddle or oblong pan.

The 5.3-cubic-foot-capacity oven includes a convection fan, which helps distribute heat throughout the oven cavity for more even cooking.
