The outlook: Easily the most anticipated title of the year, BioShock Infinite takes players to an alternate 1912 where a floating city in the sky called Columbia has seceded from the United States. Forced to recover a girl from the airborne metropolis, you'll learn of Columbia's mysterious secrets and shattered past.
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS)
Availability: March 24
The outlook: It's been quite some time since Mario's brother, Luigi, has had his own game, but the sequel to the GameCube launch title is finally making its way to the Nintendo 3DS.
Injustice: Gods Among Us (360, PS3, Wii U)
Availability: April 16
The outlook: From the team that brought us Mortal Kombat comes Injustice: Gods Among Us, a DC Comics fighting game featuring various characters from the DC universe. Injustice looks to separate itself from other fighters through its interactive arenas and over-the-top finishing moves.
Dead Island: Riptide (360, PS3, PC)

The outlook: Riptide is the follow-up to the original Dead Island game that saw great success two years ago.
Fuse (360, PS3)
Availability: April 30
The outlook: Fuse is shaping up to be an interesting four-player co-op experience that tells the story of what happens when humans start to use alien weapon technology.
Metro: Last Light (360, PS3, PC)
Availability: May 14
The outlook: The direct sequel to Metro 2033, Last Light will continue the first-person-shooter set in the midst of a nuclear wasteland.
The Last of Us (PS3)
Availability: June 14
The outlook: The makers of the Uncharted series now bring us The Last of Us, an exclusive to PlayStation 3. The game tells the story of a man tasked with transporting a young girl through a post-apocalyptic city in the wake a fungal plague.
