Apple didn't add Blu-ray to the new iMacs, but in addition to the slot-loading DVD burner, Apple has also added an SD Card reader.

The ports on the back of the new iMac remain the same except for the mini DisplayPort. Now they're bi-directional, which means you can use the iMac as a second display from any video source that can work with a mini DisplayPort adapter.

The new iMacs also feature an all-aluminum chassis and edge-to-edge glass, imparting a more industrial feel than the aluminum and dark gray polycarbon exterior on older iMacs.
