The annual IFA trade show in Berlin falls right in German manufacturer Bosch's backyard, so it's no surprise that it typically has a big presence. 2016 was no different, with a veritable plethora of new appliances, gadgets and initiatives from the brand. For starters, here's a brand new Bosch "PerfectDry" dishwasher. Its secret weapon? A special mineral called zeolite.
This Bosch multicooker comes with its own cooking app for smart control of your next one-pot meal.
There's also a new outdoor smart camera with a built-in light.
This Bosch smart security camera includes night-vision, two-way audio and a nifty design that can retract into its base like a turtle hiding in its shell. Aww.
Bosch's new smart smoke detector includes photoelectric smoke sensors along with air quality sensors to help distinguish between real emergencies and false alarms. When something's amiss, it'll send a push notification to your phone.
Bosch also announced that you'll be able to create "recipes" for its gadgets and appliances on the free online automation service IFTTT.
This new Bosch kitchen mixer includes a built-in scale, along with smart sensors that can automatically detect when your eggs or dough are mixed to perfection.
During the dishwasher's cycle, the 3D Airflow technology blows heat from the zeolite in three directions across the surfaces of your dishes.
Bosch has been using zeolite to help its dishwashers dry since 2008.
Many of the 100 recipes in the app are designed for you to cook with the AutoCook.
There are two available models: one that's powered by induction, and one that is not.
The cookbook, which translates to "My AutoCook Cookbook," comes with the multicooker.
