One of the few positive features of the Z33WP is its small, eye-catching design. The lens is completely internal, sealed up tight behind a piece of glass that's easily wiped clean of water and dirt. The camera is also very thin and lightweight making it one of the smallest--if not the smallest--waterproof cameras available.

The Z33WP has an atypical control layout because all of its buttons are clustered into two columns. If you've used any other digital cameras it takes a bit of adjusting to, but eventually you remember where the buttons you need are.

Nothing much to speak of on top, except for the design of the shutter release. It has a swooping design that frequently resulted in me missing shots because I wasn't pressing in the right spot. Much like the controls on back, once you adjust to it, you're fine, but until then it's a little frustrating.

Despite being very small, the Z33WP was comfortable to use in and out of the water. By the way, the Movie mode button above my right thumb lets you go straight to recording VGA-quality video clips. Unfortunately it's not instantaneous, taking about 3-4 seconds to switch over and start capturing video.
