Today, Fujifilm Australia opened its first digital photography concept store within Harvey Norman's flagship store in the Sydney suburb of Alexandria.

The first of several to be rolled out nationally, the concept store -- branded PhotoCentre -- features Fujifilm Digital Photo Centre (DPC) printing kiosks that allow customers to edit their images (eg zoom, crop, remove red-eye) using a touchscreen interface before printing.

In addition to a range of print sizes, the PhotoCentre offers enlargements, photo books, CD burning and a photo recovery service. To promote the store, Harvery Norman is offering an opening deal of AU$0.15 prints for 15 days. After the promotional period, standard 4x6-inch prints will cost AU$0.29 each.

President and CEO of Fujifilm Holdings Corporation, Japan, Mr Shigetaja Komori, offically opened the PhotoCentre concept store and unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the occasion.
